On February 22-23 our 3rd-6th
graders will be l oading
a van to trek to Mt. Lebanon to learn “Psalms,
Hymns and Spiritual Songs” led by David Talaguit.
David led this Worship Retreat sponsored by the
Dallas Baptist Association last year and it was
a great time. The children will learn many songs
and then perform in concert at Hillcrest
Baptist Church in Cedar Hill. Everyone is
welcome to come hear them sing at
2pm on Saturday afternoon, February 23. The
church is located at 265 W. Pleasant Run
Road.
We hope to see you there supporting our children
as they raise their voices to worship our Lord
and King!!! |
Weekly Activities
Sunday Morning Bible
Study
This year we are
learning about “God’s Big Plan.” A Bible lesson is
taught and activities are provided that give children
hands on experiences to help them understand God’s Word
and how it applies to their daily lives.
Sunday Night
Bible Study
We have begun the
study of the gospel of John at the New World Apartments
each Sunday night from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. In one
apartment we have children and younger youth and in
another apartment we have adults and older youth.
Wednesday
Night Bible Study
We are studying the
gospel of Matthew this year. We meet from 6p-7p in the
Children’s suite.
After School
Program for Refugee Families
Every Wednesday
night from 5:30pm-7:00pm we provide a mentoring program
at the New World Apartments to help children and adults
with their homework.
Family Ministry Opportunity
If you
would be interested in helping our Karen
children with their
homework after school on Wednesdays 5:30 - 7:00 pm
in the New World apartments
located near 635 and
Ferguson Road.
