Bruce began his ministry with Gaston Oaks in 2004. Born,  June 29, 1951 in Hobbs, New Mexico, Bruce is married to Donna and has two grown daughters and 3 grandsons. Bruce was ordained at First Baptist Church, Hobbs, New Mexico and is presently working towards his Doctorate at Truett Seminary in Waco, Texas. He has over 28 years of pastoral experience in Southern Baptist churches in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas ranging from small rural settings to large metropolitan bedroom communities to transitioning inner city congregations. Since coming to know the Lord, it has been Bruce's desire and effort to follow always and only His directions, to serve Him where and how He leads, and to labor with His people to make Him known by winning the lost, discipling the found, and training the willing through the proclamation of His Word and by the power of His Holy Spirit. Bruce's objective is to continue this commitment through remaining faithful to His Word, discovering His Will, and implementing innovative means for ministry. The Gaston Oaks Family is excited to have his leadership.

Pamela Culbertson, Minister to Youth
Pamela began her ministry with the Youth of Gaston Oaks in August 2000. She has ministered to youth and their families for 28 years. A graduate of Hardin Simmons University (Abilene, TX), she received a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Development. She also earned a  Masters of Art in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She enjoys leading conferences for youth workers and writes for youth publications. Jeni Knighten, Minister to Families
Jeni was born in Dallas, Texas, graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement and taught Kindergarten for Garland ISD, She receiving her Master of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  and served as a summer missionary for the River Ministry and served as Minister in several churches in Arlington, Paris and Dallas, TX.  Jeni currently is serving at Gaston Oaks Baptist Church; as a VBS and Sunday School trainer for the Dallas Baptist Association and both as judge and caller in Bible Drill on the association and state level.  Jeni also serves on the board of Healing Hands Ministries, a charity medical and dental clinic to be in the Lake Highlands community.
